A novel coronavirus is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously identified in humans. The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 210 countries and territories around the world .World Health Organization declared the coronavirus outbreak a Global Public Health Emergency.
Coronaviruses (Covid-19 ) are a large family of viruses transmitting between animals and people that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS-CoV) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV).


Age ,sex Distribution of Covid-19 :

People of all ages both sex  can be infected by the novel coronavirus COVID-19.Older people, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as Obesity, Asthma, Diabetes, Heart disease,High blood pressure, Hiv, Cancer ) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus, these people should be very careful.


Incubation Period of Covid-19  (How long it takes for symptoms to appear):


 Symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in 2 to 14  Days after infection, during this period  the virus is contagious but  sometime patient does not display any symptom.


Coronavirus& Obesity   Symptoms (COVID-19):

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:
  1. Fever,
  2. Dry cough,
  3. Tiredness,
  4. Shortness of breath ,
  5. Breathing difficulties,
  6. Chills, repeated shaking with chills.

Less common symptoms include:
  1. Muscle pain,
  2. Headache, 
  3. Sore throat
  4. Loss of taste or smell.
  5. Skin rashes  similar to other viral infection erythematosus  exanthem ( petechial, dengue like rash) cutaneous vasculitis, acute urticaria, or chickenpox-like blisters .
  6. 'COVID toes'  in which there are digital infarcts resulting in black crusted lesions on the tips of fingers and toes, which are described as like chilblains or frostbite.
Covid-19 & Obesity  Emergency:




In more severe cases ,serious symptoms may need hospitalisation and mechanical ventilation due to viral pneumonia or severe acute respiratory syndrome, particularly in those with other chronic underlying health conditions (Obesity, Overweight, Diabetes, Hearts Disease, High Blood Pressure, Cancer,Hiv ). Coronaviruses can cause more severe symptoms and complications in people with obesity and related conditions.


How we can  prevent Covid-19 if you are Obese:
  1. COVID-19 can be prevented  by Lockdown — this is why many countries have enforced a ‘lockdown’ and are requiring people to stay at home.
  2. Lockdown is neither a medicine that cures Covid-19 nor a protective shield that prevents a person from getting infected by the nvoel coronavirus. Lockdown just helps mitigate the spread of the coronavirus infection.
  3. Clean your hands well and often (for at least 20 seconds), especially after being in public. 
  4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth, or anything else with unwashed hands.
  5. Maintain  six feet  Distance while talking with  others , Avoid social  gatherings of any type.
  6. If you have family members or housemates going in and out of the house, you may want to isolate yourself from them, as they may carry the virus even if they do not have symptoms.
  7. Wash  all Fruits and vegetables properly.
  8. Avoid Travelling, work From Home.
  9. Eat Healthy and Nutritious food to reduce your extra weight.
  10. Avoid oily, sweets, Alcohol,Smoking.
  11. Do Regular Exercise at Home.
